The infrared sauna is based on the invisible light produced by natural sunlight. The infrared light wave gently and thoroughly raises the body temperature by heating only your body not the air which makes spending time getting your sweat on much easier. The results of infrared heating is an even, deeply penetrating warmth which allows your natural sweating process to detoxify your cells.
Your body absorbs and reacts to the invisible infrared light which raises your core body temperature triggering perspiration. It stimulates your lymphatic system, your immune system and your cardiovascular system through elevated internal temperatures which results in sweating that helps jump-start detoxification. The light does not make the air punishingly hot like a traditional sauna allowing a longer and more gentle experience.
Infrared is safe, gentle and effective. The entire earth and everything on it receive infrared light. Infrared heat is what hospitals use to warm newborns. Infrared is natural and an essential part of life.

Also ask your doctor’s advice BEFORE using an infrared sauna if you are concerned or if you are pregnant, fever,, insensitivity to heat, Defibrillator/PaceMaker, recent joint surgery, have artificial joints, metal pins, implants of any kind, Multiple Sclerosis, Hyperthyroidism, adrenal suppression, hemophilia, enclosed infections, Systemic Lupus Erythematous, or are menstruating. Please use common sense – if you feel unwell, clammy, nauseous, weak or tired stop immediately.
Yes, there is a shower. It’s up to you if you want to use it. You are renting the room based on time: so if you rent the facilities for 30 minutes and want a shower you must include the time needed to shower within that 30 minute window of time. You can also pair the sauna with a float and might prefer to shower in the float room directly before floating.
We rent the sauna room in 30 minute increments.
It is designed for five people but is not a common community area; you are renting the suite based on both time and occupancy.
Ask your physician or pharmacist! Not all medications play well with infrared sauna so it’s **very** important to ask your doctor or pharmacist. Generally, diuretics, barbiturates, beta blockers, anticholinergics and antihistamines all interfere with the body’s ability to process heat and are all contra-indicated.
